Who We Are
My love of natural timbers started at a very young age as I used to admire the piles of Kiaat and Imbuia timber that took up most of my grandfather’s garage space for as long as I can remember. I don’t recall the exact age, but when I was around 7 or 8 year’s old, my grandfather found me in the garage attempting to hammer together a wooden box (my very first keepsafe box attempt) after which he then assisted me to complete a fairly basic but neat project, which I still have in my possession today, more than 30 years later.
As an ambitious weekend woodworker, I have continued the practice and completed many ‘around-the-house’ projects over the years. Then recently, the passion was reinvigurated and a hobby quickly grew a life of its own, turning into The Carpenter Woodworking Studio.
What We Do
The projects that we specialise is consist of high-end exclusive projects that are worthy of a client's time and admiration. We only use selected qualtiy hardwoods rangin from Rosewood, Olienhout, Kiaat, Mopani, Rhodesian Teak, amongst a range of other exotic timbers for our one of a kind creations.
Our Projects
Every creation of our's is a unique and one-of-a-kind project based on basic design that are aimed at maximising the grain and colour of the specific type of timber being used for that project. A rigorous quality process is applied to ensure that only the best timber and fittings are used to create a timeless piece that will become a family airloom which can be passed on to next generations.
